NeeDohs Sold Out Again? Here's What Kids Actually Want Instead
Share
Updated October 22, 2026. Squishy news moves fast, so we keep this one fresh.
If you've tried to buy a NeeDoh lately, you've probably seen the words "currently unavailable" more times than you'd like.
You're not imagining it. NeeDohs blew up on TikTok over the winter, and Schylling, the company that makes them, reportedly sold through a whole year of inventory in the first nine weeks of 2026. Right now their own website says demand is so high they've paused new orders for a bit. Restocks do happen, but they come in small batches and disappear fast.
So this is the post I wish I'd had. What everyone is hunting for this month, which NeeDohs are worth the chase, how to make sure you get a real one, and what to get instead when they're gone. Because a squishy kid on Christmas morning does not care about supply chains.
A quick honest note. Some of these links go to Amazon. If you buy through them, we earn a little, which helps keep a small family business going, and it doesn't cost you anything extra. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

The NeeDoh Power Tower
A giant box of NeeDohs sold only at Sam's Club, and it's all over TikTok right now. Some stores have gotten a second round, and they tend to go out first thing in the morning. If you have a Sam's nearby, go early. (One honest mom review said the Nice Cube inside is the best part and the rest feels a little rushed, so know what you're getting.)
Squisher the Reindoh
A brand new reindeer NeeDoh for Christmas 2026, around $10, and already hard to find. People are spotting them at Dollar General, so check there before you pay a reseller.
The NeeDoh Squishmas Advent Calendar
Twenty four days of Teenie NeeDohs for about $30. One shop said theirs sold out in seconds, and restock videos are popping up all over. If you see it at the regular price, that's your sign.
Magma NeeDohs
These ones actually light up, like a little glowing lava ball. They're very rare, and the fakes are everywhere, so much that parents are asking on TikTok how to tell a real one. Buy from a store you trust or skip it.
The NeeDoh Sensory Sampler
A new sampler set that's already turning up at some Walmart stores ahead of Black Friday. Keep an eye on the toy aisle and the holiday displays.
First, a confession about cubes
My kids don't like the Nice Cube. At all. I've mostly stopped asking why. If your kid feels the same way, you're in good company, and there are plenty of other NeeDohs worth chasing.
So what do they reach for instead? Both of them go straight for the Squeeze Please marshmallows, which smell like toasted marshmallow and cotton candy. My son also loves the Minecraft jelly cubes. Yes, those are cubes too. Apparently a cube with Minecraft glitter inside is a completely different thing.
More NeeDohs worth the hunt
NeeDoh Gumdrop
Sugary and a little rough on the outside, soft and gooey like putty inside, and it slowly settles back into shape after you squish it. It has the same filling people love in the cube, just in a shape a lot of kids like better. It's also been one of the more frequent restocks lately, so it's a realistic one to get.
NeeDoh Gummy Bear
Clear neon colors, softer and quicker to bounce back than the classic ones. Kids who find the sugar filled NeeDohs too slow tend to love this one.
NeeDoh Nice Cream Cone
A swirly top with a textured cone underneath. Two textures in one, which matters a lot more to a squishy kid than you'd guess.
NeeDoh Fuzz Balls
Covered in short, soft rubber hairs, and weirdly relaxing to squeeze. The Teenie four packs split nicely across stockings. They also attract every piece of lint within a five mile radius. Worth it.
NeeDoh Cool Cats
Squishies with cat faces. That's the whole pitch, and it works. A cute face carries a lot of weight in a trade.
NeeDoh Groovy Glob
The original. Firm, doughy, nothing fancy. A lot of parents choose it for younger kids, and it's the one that started all of this.
The Swirl Nice Berg
The big one. If your kid is a serious collector, this is the one that makes them gasp when the paper comes off.
The "grails" (and why you shouldn't pay for them)
Some NeeDohs have turned into legends. The Press Doh ones and the holiday Ginger Glowman are the ones kids talk about in hushed voices. Here's what they're reselling for this week, according to one resale price tracker.
- Press Doh Smiley Face. Around $699.
- Press Doh Stars and Moon. Around $575.
- Ginger Glowman. Around $520.
- Press Doh Heart Spiral. Around $500.
- The red and white Candy Swirl Christmas Nice Cube. Around $240.
Please don't pay that. It's a squishy. Your kid will love a $10 Gumdrop just as much by New Year's. And if they really, truly need a grail, that's what trading is for. Somewhere out there is a kid with a Ginger Glowman who would give anything for a Cool Cat.
How to snag a real NeeDoh
- Check early. Restocks tend to show up in the morning. At Sam's Club, that means right at opening.
- Look in unexpected places. Dollar General, Walmart and Sam's Club have all had surprise NeeDoh drops this fall.
- Turn on alerts. Restock tracking sites can ping you the moment a listing comes back.
- Buy from the source. The Schylling store on Amazon, Amazon itself, or a big store like Target.
- Skip deals that look too good. Counterfeits are everywhere, especially on bargain sites. If it's half price, it's probably not real.
- Never pay resale prices. Wait a week. They do come back.
What to get when the NeeDohs are gone
Here's the good news. A lot of what kids are trading right now isn't NeeDoh at all.
Squeeze Please Marshmallows
These are the ones in our house right now. Slow rise marshmallow squishies with three real scents. Sweet, Toasted and Cotton Candy Swirl. Thousands of people bought them last month, and they're actually easy to get.
Minecraft and Sonic Jelly SquishMe
Squishy jelly cubes with glittery character heads floating inside. Each one is a blind box, and 1 in 48 hides a real gold plated piece, which turns every box into a tiny lottery ticket. Officially licensed, so no fakes to worry about if you buy from the real listing.
Top Trenz Sugar Squishers
Charlie the Capybara, Abby the Axolotl, Penny the Bear, Gigi the Frog. Gel filled animals with fuzzy little caps and a sugary squish that scratches the NeeDoh itch. This is what we'd grab when the NeeDoh shelf is empty.
The Top Trenz JellyFish
A TikTok favorite that's due back at the end of October. Keep an eye out for it.
Butter squishies
Squishies shaped like sticks of butter. Yes, really. One big toy reviewer called them the viral toy of the year, and kids can't get enough of the slow, smooth squish.
Dumpling squishies
At some schools, dumplings are basically currency right now. Jelly dumplings were near the top of the bestseller lists this summer, there are Christmas versions out now, and the little mystery duck dumplings add a blind bag surprise.
If you're near a Five Below, look for Squishy Bun mystery dumplings. Some of those boxes have turned into serious trade bait, especially the rare editions. They're not on Amazon, so there's no link here. We just think you should know.
Kumapan Loafie Bears
Slow rise bears shaped like a loaf of bread, in a mystery box. Cute and a little strange, which is exactly our kind of thing.
Other things kids want badly
Keyboard clickers
Little clicky keys with characters on them, plus a keyboard to snap them into. The clicking is the whole point. So, fair warning, is the noise.
Tiny blind box collectibles
Glow in the dark Smiski figures and Calico Critters Very Berry Babies. (We're a little biased toward anything with "berry" in the name.) Small, collectible and made for trading. Buy from official sellers, because the fakes have found these too.
What actually matters
Here's what I've learned living with squishy kids. The moment is what sticks. Tearing off the paper, the first squeeze, running to show somebody, the very first trade. A capybara squishy that gets all of that is worth more than a grail sitting on a shelf.
And when the trading starts, we've got a mat for that.
